The two people behind it

Amir and Pablo, in Zürich. There is no support department behind us — when you write, one of the two of us answers.

Where this started

In spring 2026 one of us sat down to file a 2025 return. A Treuhänder (accountant) had already prepared it, and we wanted to check the numbers before signing, so we put together a rough tool that read the documents and listed what belonged in each field.

It found a health insurance certificate from the wrong year. The accountant had already used it.

The rest of the year went into making that rough tool into something someone other than us could use.

What we are, exactly

Software, and nothing more regulated than that. We are not tax advisors and hold no FINMA licence, because nothing we do needs one. The product reads what you upload and writes a field-by-field guide for your canton's official app — ZHprivateTax in Zurich, VSTax in Valais, whichever one applies to you.

If your year was genuinely complicated, see a certified Swiss tax advisor. We are not a substitute for one.

What we hold to

You file it, not us
We tell you what to type and which field it goes in. Pressing submit stays with you. That is a deliberate choice and not a missing feature: filing on your behalf would make us a regulated intermediary, and we would rather be good at the part that actually goes wrong.
One payment, no subscription
CHF 50 for one return, CHF 5 with the code BETA90 while the public beta lasts. There is no monthly plan and no better tier to upgrade into. File again next year and you pay again.
Your documents are not the business
They are stored in Switzerland and deleted 24 hours after you finish. Nobody trains a model on them — that sits in our contract with Anthropic, not only in our privacy policy. The business is the one payment above.
It gets things wrong
It misreads scans and it misses deductions. A second pass reads the finished guide back against your documents and catches some of that, not all of it. You will find this said the same way in the product, in the terms and here.

What you can check

Our tax numbers match the federal calculator exactly
Not approximately — to the last Rappen. Every change we make is checked against the Federal Tax Administration's own calculator, across 72 cases covering single and married filers, children, church tax and incomes from CHF 40'000 to 600'000.
It caught a mistake a paid accountant had made
On one real 2025 return it found a health insurance certificate from the wrong year that the filer's Treuhänder (accountant) had already used. The filer was one of us, so this is a test rather than a customer story — but the document and the mistake were real.
Every number shows the document it came from
Each value in your guide names the paper it was read from, so you can check it before you type it. The sample return shows this on every entry.
